Hello Foodies!

My name is Addison Martoncik. I am a landscape architecture major at Washington State University in Pullman, WA and I just started my last year. I grew up in Maple Valley, WA and have grown to love the Seattle area and hope to move back after graduation. Although I am in the midst quarter-life crisis because I don’t like what I am studying in school, something that I have always been passionate about is food.

My freshman year at WSU, I started an Instagram blog to document what I ate every day in the dorms in the hope that I would be more motivated to choose healthier options at the dining hall. Although my food choices did not stay healthy for long, I started to really enjoy sharing what I was eating and the new foods I was trying with the internet. It’s been almost three years since I started my account, @ferocious_foodie, and what was something that only my close friends and family knew about, has become part of my personal identity. Trying new restaurants, sharing my experiences, and documenting the food I am eating is one of my biggest life passions and I hope to someday make a career out of food writing.
